The Ceremony & Reception

What is the dress code?

Dress for comfort, dancing, and a September evening by the marsh. Most guests will likely choose cocktail or garden-party attire, but we care about your presence more than your attire.

Worth knowing: parts of the property are on grass and stone, so very high heels may be challenging.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both will take place outdoors on the grounds of the property, weather permitting. We will have a contingency plan for inclement weather. In September on the North Shore, temperatures in the evening can drop into the low 60s — a wrap or jacket is never a bad idea.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

The property has some uneven terrain, including stone terraces and grass. We are working to ensure as much of the event as possible is accessible. Please reach out directly if you have specific accessibility needs and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.

Can I bring a date / plus one?

Plus ones are reflected on your invitation. If you have a question about your invitation, please reach out to us directly.

Are children welcome?

We love your children. The reception is an adult event — please check your invitation, which will reflect whether your little ones are included. If you have questions, reach out.

Logistics

Where should I park?

Parking details will be included with your formal invitation and confirmed closer to the date. We are arranging a shuttle from the hotel block to the venue for the evening so you don't have to worry about driving after the reception. More details coming soon.

Will there be a shuttle?

Yes — we are arranging shuttle service between the hotel block and the venue for Saturday evening. Details will be confirmed and shared closer to the date.

When should I RSVP by?

Your formal invitation will include the RSVP deadline. We kindly ask that all guests respond by the date noted — it helps us enormously with catering and seating.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

There will be a field for dietary restrictions in the RSVP. Please note any allergies or restrictions there, and our caterer will do their best to accommodate. For severe allergies, please reach out to us directly as well.

Photos & Other

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We are having an unplugged ceremony — we kindly ask that all phones and cameras are put away during the ceremony itself. Our photographer will capture everything. Please feel free to take photos during the cocktail hour and reception.

Will there be photos shared after the wedding?

Yes! We will share professional photos after the wedding. Details on how to access them will be sent to guests following the event.
